■ Role

- Provide strategic vision and direction for the company's future automation capabilities.

- Building out and executing against a roadmap.

- Drive and enable the development of innovative automated solutions ranging from standalone tools to integrated systems.

- Interface with the software members to identify opportunities for collaboration and integrating data handling solutions with hardware solutions.

- Lab user requirements gathering, conducting and assessing vendor demos, conducting proof of concept experiments, conducting and evaluating validation experiments prior to releasing to Production environments, and assessing performance and satisfaction over time.

- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each makes continuous progress to meet aggressive timelines, removing barriers, and ensuring a high level of quality in the final deliverables.

- Performing routine precision/accuracy determination and coordinating the maintenance of instruments as needed.

- Build out and expand the Automation team via interviewing, hiring, and onboarding candidates of exceptional quality.

- Set team and individual team member goals.

- Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional programs and contribute to our team-oriented culture.

■ Requirements

- Experience in Laboratory Automation 

- Please submit a list of your past lead projects or portfolio

- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required to interact with colleagues, stakeholders and vendors is required.

- Must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to effectively present work to the team, management and the broader department.

- English : Business level

■ Preferred Requirements

- Experience or understanding of basic molecular biology technologies

- Familiarity with data capture and management, informatics and hardware/software integrations with systems such as ELN, LIMS, and BPM (i.e. Pega)

- Knowledge of computer applications, scripting, databases, and programming (e.g SQL, VB.Net, Python, C or C++など) or cloud computing (Google Cloud, AWS)

- Wet lab experience

■ Conditions

-Expected monthly salary: ¥8 - ¥12M, depending on your skills and experience

-Salary promotion: Anytime

-Working Location: Kanagawa
