■ Job description

・New research and development for biopharmaceutical drug

・Design projects integrating biology, robotics, and AI

・Collaborate with the broader project team to gather requirements, develop specifications, and solicit feedback throughout the lifecycle of the project.

・Performs other related work as needed.

・Assisting in the preparation of grants, protocols, reports, and manuscripts through providing bioinformatic-specific expertise.

■ Requirements

・Extensive experience in sequence analysis (DNA/RNA/protein)

・Able to carry out projects using Python on Unix/Linux

・Having the skills to design your own programs rather than using existing software for analysis.

・Degree or equivalent research experience in life science field

・At least 4 years of research experience in bioinformatics

・Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

・Ability to lead the dev team to plan, execute and deliver to meet critical project milestones and deadlines.

・Business level or higher English proficiency

■ Preferred Requirements

・PhD in Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field.

・Experience of working with Git

・Next generation sequencing (NGS) analysis

・Experience in development using the following programing Languages: Rust, Go, and C+

・Basic understanding of machine learning

・Parallel and distributed computation using Spark and MPI

・Environment construction using Docker

・Optimization of computational environments that depend on BLAS/LAPACK, etc.

・Excellent leadership capabilities with demonstrated skill in building, guiding and motivating effective teams and fostering productive research collaborations

・Proven ability to mentor and develop team member

■ Conditions

Expected monthly salary: 4 million ~ 7.5 million JPY〜, depending on your skills and experience

Salary promotion: Anytime

Working Location: Yamagata (remote is available)

Employment type: full-time, regular employment
